PM Modi Releases 17th Installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transferred the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to 9.26 crore beneficiary farmers at 5:00 pm from his parliamentary constituency in Varanasi. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme provides financial aid to farmers, offering Rs 6000 annually in three installments of Rs 2000 every four months.  

17th Installment Released from Varanasi: On June 18, 2024, PM Modi released the 17th installment, following the formation of his third government. The 16th installment was previously released on February 28, 2024, from Yavatmal district in Maharashtra.  

Checking PM Kisan Beneficiary Status: Eligible beneficiaries can check their status by visiting the official PM-KISAN website (pmkisan.gov.in) and following these steps:  

  1. Go to the "Farmers Corner" section on the homepage.  
  2. Click on the "Beneficiary Status" link.  
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number and submit.  
  4. View your payment status to confirm if you have received the installment.  

What to Do If Payment Hasn't Arrived: If you haven't received the payment, verify your eligibility and contact your local agriculture officer for assistance.  

World's Largest Direct Benefit Payment Scheme: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is one of the world's largest direct benefit transfer (DBT) schemes, providing Rs 6000 per year directly to farmers' bank accounts linked to their Aadhaar cards. This scheme aims to offer financial security and support to farmers through these periodic payments.
